How To Make Your Own Super-Search Pages
SUMMARY
If you like the Super-Search Page concept, you don't need to wait for us to produce the pages. You can make them yourself, for any subjects you want. Simply take any one of our Super-Search Pages, copy the source code HTML into your text editor, then replace all instances of the original subject with your subject. Then save your new Super-Search Page onto your hard drive. If your computer is connected to the Internet, your new page -- with your own new subject in it -- should run correctly when you click on it in your hard drive's directory.DETAILS - (If you need them, this is one way to do it. This assumes you have Internet Explorer
and Notepad on your computer.)1. Right-click on the link at the end of this paragraph that says "Christmas. Then select "Open in New Window." Then when the Christmas page comes up, position your curser on it, right-click, and then select "View Source." A copy of Notepad should open up in a new window, with the HTML source code on it. Do these things now, starting by right-clicking on this link => Christmas.2. Now close the window named "Super-Search Page For Christmas" to get it out of the way. Think of the name of your new subject for your new Super-Search Page, and be ready to enter this new subject name. (Note that the subect name in the "Christmas" page is "Christmas.") Your new subject name can be more than one word, but should not contain quotes (").
3. Now, in your Notepad window, left-click on "Edit" then left-click on "Replace." You should now be looking at a "Replace" box which says "Find what:" and "Replace with:"
4. Type "Christmas" (without quotes) into the "Find what:" box, and type the name of your new subject into the "Replace with:" box. Then left-click "Replace All."
5. Now go back to your Notepad window, and left-click "File" then left-click "Save as . . ." Then type in the name you want for your new Super-Search file, and save it with the ".html" extension. If your new subject name is "xxxxx" then the recommended filename for this page would be "supersearch-xxxxx.html" (without the quotes).
6. When you want to run your new file, navigate to it using "My Computer," then left-click on its name to run the file. If your computer is connected to the Internet, your new Super-Search Page should run properly. Good luck.
Blessings to you. May God help us all.
